Rust

Hey Everyone, so when i heard we had to blog about something with texture i had the perfect photo in mind. This pic is called "Rusted Boat" (very original name haha) and i think it oozes great texture because of the wonderful rusty grunge texture on the boat and even the surrounding dirt and grass has a rough dirty feel to it. I think textures are a lot cooler and interesting if they are old or grungy because they tell a story of where something has been and what it has been through, obviously this boat has had better days.

I like this picture because is is very dramatic and it tells a great story. The way the clouds are moving gives a feeling of danger and unrest, which really stood out to me when i first saw this photo. Also i like how the boat is off centre nestled in the mountains in the background. Another thing that i like is that it has great contrast and the red of the rust compliments the green of the surrounding grass and mountains. All in all, i think the texture in the bout tells a story and it really gives it character.
