Devil's Game

Near the end of the summer I found myself doing another marathon of a series (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) and came across this video purely by accident. The series differs from typical series of its particular genre (magical girls) and explores realistic aspects of an individual's life and twists them to match the story and genre. It encompasses a range of topics such as justice and human emotions. The concept of miracles is not new to humans and the series takes this concept and explores the possible consequences that follows. The saying an eye for an eye is highly appropriate when it comes to this topic.

I found myself drawn to this particular video because of the choice of scenes used, the transitions and animation, and the choice of the song. I found the song (
A Demon's Fate by Within Temptation) to be incredibly appropriate as it matched the series and its beautifully written story, and characters perfectly. I find that one does not need to have previously watched the series beforehand (although having watched it before will allow you to appreciate the video more) because the video is able to communicate the dark and beautiful message the series offers.

I would definitely recommend the series. You'll probably notice inconsistency in the animation (because it's SHAFT, lol) unless you watch the blu-ray version, where the quality in animation is superior to the original broadcasting.

I don't remember when you left exactly, but were you there for the game? We also ordered pizza for dinner, haha.

lol I'm quite aware that this is done by SHAFT and I have been quite familiar with the the Studio and their shows. It's actually one of my favorite studios lol. Anyway thanks for your advice, I'll go look for the blu-ray version then. I also think I'm going to post something quite similiar or at least related to this as well.

Do you mean when we had to take a pieces of paper and then draw a character from a series that we recgonize? I stayed for a little bit of that but then I had to go. Pizza lol, sound like you had fun.

*oops I just noticed that I should've proofread my first comment.
