I find these two artist are especially adept at using textures in their work: Above is "Wen-JR" or Jonathan as he's also known, and "adonihs", also known as Dan LuVisi, has his work below. I believe a certain amount of detailed texture emphasizes the credibility and ethos of the artists, and gives them respect. These are highly rendered pieces that emphasize the artist's skills. I find joy in just looking at the little details in the clothing and metal breastplates etc... Hope you find these images as inspiration or just cool things to look at! If you're a fan of Kick- Ass you'll love the promos he did for the movie.
