Pretty Texture

For me texture is the physical, visual and or mental feel of anything 2-D or 3-D. One of my High School teachers told me to look for texture for a minor project and he said the best place to look for texture might just be down. So that day I went home while looking down, by doing so you can find a lot of different textures on the ground (but look up sometimes so you don't walk into people or things). Anyways....

as you can see, this is 3-D nail art. I was reading a book and it mentioned having 3-D nails of a Japanese beach. I looked it up and found some interesting things. I particularly like the first image, it's cool and looks like icicles. You can see the bumps and layers of ice that form just like it would in the winter. I also like it because of the sharp pointy ends. It looks as if it would hurt if you jabbed anyone, plus think of the feeling you'd get if it slowly creep down your arm. Texture says it all.

  1. yah jap nail art did go to the next level with using 3d things
unfortunately, we western conservatives can't fully accept that to our daily lives (although i do want my nails done something like that ...)

  2. I have friends that are into 3D nail art and I can never understand how one could do things while having so much on their fingers...

On the other hand, the immense amount of detail on a small surface is amazing.
