IMPRNT Graffiti Collage

Hey everyone, a couple years ago when i was searching through flickr for street art a came across this: A graffiti collage called IMPRNT by W3Collective.

IMPRNT mural (final)
Link to his Flickr profile: Here

I like this piece because it conveys the message of "make love not war" and the soft heart contrasts the metal gun. I was instantly inspired by it. It caught my eye because I had never seen something like it before and it brought all the mediums of street art together in one piece, like tagging, stickers, stencils and wheat pasting.

This collage also has several postmodern principals; such as layering recontextualization and juxtaposition. obviously, it has layers because of the many different layers of wheat paste and paint. It has the principal of recontextualization because the artist used print images and re-used them for a background and the juxtaposition is pairing the heart and gun togather.

All in all i love this collage and i thought is is awesome enough to share, enjoy!
